Latin Name: Mytilus edulis
Product Names: Frozen Cooked Mussel
Harvest Area: The blue mussel is found along both sides of the North Atlantic. In the western North Atlantic its range extends from Baffin Island to North Carolina. These 'wild' mussels are found in extensive beds in Newfoundland coastal areas.
Availability: Harvest time is from November to May. Only mussels with meat yields greater than 35% are harvested and packed.

Vacuum packed in 1 lb or 2 lb sizes
