Catching Area:	Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Quebec. Snow crabs are caught in traps on the sandy ocean bottom at depths of 50 to 470 metres.
Availability:	April to November
Size:	The average size crab in the commercial catch measures approximately 11 cm and weighs 0.5 kg. Male only.
